Tropicana Garden Club Rides Off into the Sunset, but Leaves a Concrete Legacy

The Tropicana Garden Club ended its 39 year history by voting itself out of existence and donating two cement benches which now sit outside the entrance to the Clubhouse. Despite their hard construction, they are quite comfortable.

Evidently the group couldn’t find a volunteer to lead the organization . The plaques on the benches look like epitaphs, but this organization could be resurrected in the future.

So there is hope that the garden club might bloom again. And meanwhile, their gift will give some relief to tired legs and dragging butts. —PG
