June morning inside the Great Auditorium. By Paul Goldfinger

NOTE:  Ocean Grove, N.J. is a historic town on the Atlantic Ocean.  It was founded as a Methodist community in 1869.  The Great Auditorium is a 6500 seat all wood building which faces the ocean.  It is over 100 years old.  Around the Auditorium are tents which people live in during the summer.  The windows, as you can see, are stained glass.   This photograph appears in a new book about the history of this building.  Inside the building is the world famous Hope-Jones organ with over 10,000 pipes.   If you are a cinema fan, you might remember seeing this building in Woody  Allen’s film “Stardust Memories.”      Paul
