Feb 19, 2021
We believe that more shareholders by far missed the Feb 12 meeting than attended it. It was an important session, and you all should read the minutes. They were not available this morning, but they are posted this afternoon. One week is too long to wait when so many shareholders are clueless as to what happened. These minutes went out by email.
There also was a Board meeting on Feb 17, and only a flimsy summary is available. There is supposed to be an attached timeline and term sheet letter, but we couldn’t find it. These should be distributed to all shareholders by letter instead of relying on these minutes. But go there and judge for yourselves.
CLARIFICATION. Today, Feb 20, I heard from Dan Kelly that the expected Negotiation Committee attachments had been emailed on Feb 19 as a separate email to all shareholders. . Here is his note:
Please double check your email. The information that you are seeking was emailed to all shareholders on Friday 2/19 at 2:09 PM, less than 48 hours after the 2/17 3:00 PM board meeting. It included Presidents Note, Terms and Conditions, Timeline and Questions. If you didn’t get the email please let Clarice know so you don’t miss future updates.
As a result of Dan’s alert, I found that the Negotiating Committee Plan and Timeline had indeed been sent by email on Friday 2/19 at 2:09 pm. It contained the Presidents Note, Conditions, Timeline and Questions.
My investigation of my problem revealed that I did not receive that email on my computer. However, I did receive it on my iPhone, a place where I don’t ordinarily look at emails.
So, as we all live by digital means, and as those digital means get more complicated, we have to be alert to mishaps. I will be calling Apple tomorrow, and thanks to the Board for getting those 2/17 details out in a timely way.
