A ghost of a chance with Andrew Wyeth.

Andrew Wyeth’s studio in Chadds Ford, Pa. Paul Goldfinger photograph.

Tours of Wyeth’s studio are now closed. We were there several times, and it is fascinating.  It is a simple white house. The studio is where Wyeth created so many book illustrations and paintings.  It contains many of the props which he used including movie posters and items such as swords–a gift from Douglas Fairbanks, Jr.

We don’t know if he used the skeleton for fun or for a prop, but it is real.

In the summer, he painted  in Maine.
