On the 12th of February we were at the Edison Estate yearly plant sale. We posted two articles about it.

The sale is noted for its exotic species.   Eileen was determined to get something, so she found  a small potted tropical flowering plant “The Pink Quill” which comes from the rain forests of Ecuador.

She knew that its blooms don’t last long. She left it sitting on a window sill in the kitchen. There it would receive the filtered light that it requires.

Later we found out that it can live attached to a tree or grow from the ground.   Eileen plans to ship it home to the Grove.

Today it began to bloom with a pink quill and a purple flower.

Definitely not The Little Shop of Horrors
