Realtor.com and the Wall Street Journal have published a list of “emrging housing markets” by studying 300 communities across the nation.
The list placed Naples on top, but 5 of the top 20 are in Florida, and Ft. Myers/ Cape Coral are #6. This may not come as a surprise to you. We have all heard about northeners heading south to live. The reasons include COVID, climate, taxes and politics.
In Tropicana we have seen prices rise for a variety of reasons including the damand for less expensive housing, demand for immobile homes here, especially since the tornado. Some may be tempted to sell in Florida (and here) to cash in on inflated prices, but then you may have to buy another place also with high price tags. If you own two homes you could sell one and make money and then wait for prices to drop subsequently.
